We are working closely with indexing databases to ensure that
Tobacco Prevention and Cessation is indexed retrospectively, from the first issue in appropriate databases.
To meet the indexing requirements, as with all new journals,
Tobacco Prevention and Cessation needs to show, amongst others, continuous and steady manuscript publication, quality control mechanisms, a broad editorial board, international readership and submissions and an increasing number of high-quality manuscripts in the production flow.
We are currently indexed in:
Web of Science - Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Clarivate Analytics

We are also a proud member of COPE
Indexing pending re-assessment:DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals - until May 2024) (Publisher note: The journal is currently de-listed and will be reassessed in Dec 2024, due to >25% of articles published in recent issues in 2024 coming from members of the editorial board of prominent researchers and key figures in tobacco control in Europe and abroad. The publisher will support the reduction of this percentage to <25% while maintaining our core value of supporting European Tobacco control activities.
Thank you for your support in developing an international, and greatly needed, journal in the field. It is your grassroots support that makes the development of the journal possible.
